Role Play by Kay Cove really had me interested in how this could play out. I have to say it was way better than I could have imagined. Both of these characters have issues from the past from family or relationships. They both seem to know that, and they both see what happened to one another to help each other with this. I think it helped that they were in their late 20s/30s. That means they are more mature in what life could be and is like.
Now I want to warn you that the chapters are long, but with how Kay Cove wrote this story, the chapters fly by, and don’t feel long at all. I also really enjoyed seeing Forrest with his friends/co-workers. You could tell they were more like family, and it was just funny and made me chuckle. I have to say there were numerous parts of Role Play that had me smiling and enjoying everything I was reading.
The character development with all of the characters was chef kiss. They all did a lot of work on themselves throughout the story, and it was great to see the transformation that the characters underwent. With the character growth, the love story that was told in this book is a book that you will want to keep picking up and get to the end.
I am giving Role Play four stars, and it does have just a bit of spice with a spice level of two chili peppers. If you are a member of Kindle Unlimited, this book is included in your membership. Make sure to go pick up Role Play now as you won’t be disappointed.
I would like to thank Valentine PR and Kay Cove the ARC Copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own.
