Synopsis

Alone in the City of Love on Valentine’s Day–until my best friend makes a proposition: a Parisian affair. But is one day worth risking our friendship?

Three months ago, we gave into the chemistry between us.

It was only supposed to be one night.

But after a series of unfortunate events lands us in Paris together on Valentine’s Day, he makes me a daring proposition.

One more time. A Parisian affair.

We make one promise to each other: under no circumstances can our fling follow us back home.

He’s committed to not being committed.

And me? All I’ve ever wanted was a big, all-consuming love.

And I’ve never been good at stamping down my heart.

My Thoughts

I have been reading the Love and City Lights series since the start, and I have to say that ‘What Happens in Paris’ might be my favorite in this series. Ally was able to write both of the main characters with ADHD, and I wanted to root for them from the start. Right away, when I started the book and saw Oliver and Stephanie in the airport, I wanted them to get together so badly.

Ally Williams is a great writer with her character and world-building. With writing like that I feel the emotion the characters do. This is why I think it takes me a little bit longer to read her books as I am feeling all of the emotions.  Now there is no real third-act breakup but there is a misunderstanding where Stephanie and Oliver are not on the same page.  I enjoyed seeing them grow and working out on their issues to be able to get back together.

‘What Happens in Paris’ is a nice 4.5 stars from me and the Spice Level is a 4.  Man, Ally Williams knows how to write the spice. If you are looking for a book that has heart and spice ‘What Happens in Paris’ is your book.

Now this book has been out for a while and is available wherever you get your books.  And if you are a Kindle Unlimited member this book is available with your membership.

**I would like to thank Ally Williams for the ARC Copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own**
