At this point, you already know I am going to love a Samantha Skye book. But I will say Sawyer brought me back to why I enjoy her books and what really brought me into wanting to read every book she writes. When you pick up a Samantha Skye book, you know you will be in for some spice but also a good Mystery. The past few books in the Billionaires of Whispers series have had the mystery element, but it was towards the end of the book. With her latest release and taking us back into Whispers, Samantha has the mystery start pretty much from the start of the book, and has you on the edge of your seat throughout the book.
Sawyer is the lawyer we have met throughout the previous books, and since this does take place in Whispers, we do see our past men that we have grown to love. But with Sawyer, you can tell he is trying not to like Whispers, but he is pulled in pretty quickly. I also like how he goes about the relationship with Annabelle. He knows that not only is a relationship with Annabelle, but also with her sons. I think he does a great job building that relationship, and you will see how well at the end of the book. I really enjoyed seeing Annabelle and Sawyer build the relationship and how the huge mystery played it. And with this book, we got a glimpse of who our next Billionaire of Whispers will be, and that will be Sawyer’s brother.
With this latest book, Samantha Skye really hit it out of the park, and she’s getting four and a half stars from me. The writing was great, the character building was great, and I couldn’t put down the book, no matter how hard I tried. The Spice in this book is getting a four chili pepper rating. There were open door scenes and closed door and the open door scenes didn’t feel too much.
Sawyer is out now and available wherever you get your books, and if you are a KOBO Plus member, the book is included in your membership.
I would like to thank Samantha Skye for the ARC Copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own.
